With over 30 years of experience in the automotive and motorsports industry, Yamil has built a reputation for excellence and dedication. Starting his career at a young age, he began by doing installs out of his garage, quickly gaining hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the craft. As his skills grew, so did his ambitions. Over the years, he steadily climbed the ranks, applying his passion and expertise to each new challenge.

Today, as the proud owner of Traffic Jams Motorsports, Yamil leads an award-winning team, recognized for outstanding service and sales. His journey from humble beginnings to owning a thriving business reflects his commitment to the motorsports world and his ability to adapt and grow in an ever-evolving industry.

With over 32 years of experience in the industry, Michael, affectionately known as "Biscuit," stands as one of Traffic Jams Motorsports' longest-tenured 12-volt technicians. A true veteran of the trade, Biscuit's expertise spans advanced work with laser machines, CNC technology, and custom fabrication. His mastery of Fusion software enables him to craft stunning, one-of-a-kind designs that set Traffic Jams apart from the competition.

As a JL Audio Max Verified technician, Biscuit brings unmatched depth of knowledge to the team, ensuring top-tier sound systems and installations that exceed expectations. His dedication and skill have earned him a respected place at the heart of the company, playing a key role in upholding its reputation for innovation and superior service.

In 2024, Biscuit was nominated as a Top 12 Installer, a prestigious recognition of his outstanding technical expertise and commitment to excellence in the field.

With 12 years of hands-on experience as a 12-volt technician, David has been an invaluable member of the Traffic Jams Motorsports team. As our shop foreman, he oversees the daily operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. David’s leadership and expertise are crucial in managing the technicians and maintaining the high standards of service the shop is known for.

In addition to his role as foreman, David has earned his MECP certification at the expert level, further solidifying his vast knowledge and skills in the 12-volt industry. His certification is a testament to the dedication and experience he brings to every project, ensuring top-quality results for every customer.

In recognition of his deep knowledge and expertise, David was nominated as a Trusted Tech in 2024, an honor that showcases his exceptional skills and his continued impact on the 12-volt field.

Ben, a 12-volt technician at Traffic Jams Motorsports, is known for his sharp mind and exceptional skills. With a talent for creating intricate designs using Fusion software, he brings customers' visions to life with precision and creativity.

Ben is also highly skilled in fabrication, utilizing 3D printing, as well as laser and CNC machines. An MECP Certified Expert, he has demonstrated his expertise at the highest level.

Recently, Ben earned recognition for his outstanding craftsmanship by winning the Clean Wire Challenge at the Master Tech Expo. In addition to this, he was nominated for Installer of the Year in 2024 and made the Top 12 Installers list, a testament to his dedication and skill in the industry.

Pedro joined our team as a rookie just three years ago, and in that short time, he has quickly become a skilled professional in the industry. Through dedication and a passion for learning, he has honed his craft and become an expert installer.

Every day, Pedro continues to grow, mastering new techniques and consistently delivering exceptional work.

Affectionately nicknamed "Wikipedia" by the team, Scott is a true wealth of knowledge. Since 1991, he has honed his expertise in the 12-volt industry, becoming a go-to resource for anything from dash kits to understanding the intricacies of vehicle-specific wiring harnesses. His ability to recall the right solution instantly makes him an invaluable asset to the team, and his deep understanding of why some solutions work better than others showcases his years of experience.

Alongside his extensive knowledge, Scott is skilled in operating the laser machine and CNC technology, contributing to the shop’s reputation for cutting-edge, custom designs. He’s also highly experienced with remote start systems and alarms, ensuring that every installation is done to the highest standards.

As an MECP-certified Skilled 12-Volt Technician, Scott's qualifications are a testament to his expertise and dedication to the industry, making him a vital member of the Traffic Jams Motorsports team.

With 23 years in the industry — 18 of those at his previous shop — Dan brings a true depth of experience and leadership to our team. As an MECP Expert Certified Technician, he specializes in high-level OEM integration, advanced troubleshooting, fabrication, security and remote start systems, and even content creation.

Dan has built a reputation for delivering creative, forward-thinking solutions without ever compromising quality, serviceability, or attention to detail. His dedication to the craft has earned him recognition as a Top 12 Installer in the industry awards and a Top 5 Trusted Tech — honors that speak for themselves.

Beyond the bay, Dan is passionate about giving back to the industry. He has trained and taught at KnowledgeFest, sharing his knowledge and helping elevate the next generation of installers.

Mechanical Technician - Mark is the true veteran of Traffic Jams Motorsports, having been with us since our very first days. With 42 years of experience under his belt, Mark’s expertise is unmatched.

He’s been working on cars since the age of 14, honing his skills over decades to become a true pro in the field. No matter the make or model, from Ford to Volkswagen, Mark knows exactly what he’s doing and demonstrates his vast knowledge and skill every single day.

His dedication and experience make him an invaluable asset to our team.

Wheel Technician - Rigo is our go-to expert for anything related to wheels, tires, lifts, lowering kits, and even some mechanical work. With over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, Rigo brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table.

He has been a valuable member of the Traffic Jams team for quite some time, earning his place as a seasoned veteran of the company. His years of experience and dedication make him a cornerstone of our operations.

Performance Technician 2026

Melvin has been professionally selling 12-volt products since 1995, specializing in exotics and attracting high-end clientele. With vast knowledge of radar and laser systems, as well as high-end audio installations, he is the go-to expert for clients seeking premium automotive technology.

In 2019, Melvin was nominated as one of the Top 20 Sales Pros, a testament to his exceptional expertise and dedication. His strong client relationships and in-depth knowledge make him a valuable asset to the sales team at Traffic Jams Motorsports.

Chris Johnson is a seasoned car audio technician, fabricator, and custom car builder who’s been immersed in the scene since 1989. He’s been competing in the audio arena for decades and has worked professionally in the industry since 1998.

Over the years, Chris has lent his expertise to some of the top names in the business, including HiFi Buys, and even launched his own custom shop, Revolution Kustomz. His work spans everything from stealth audio installs to full-scale custom vehicle builds, all delivered with precision craftsmanship and creative flair.

Before going full-time in custom car work, Chris traveled across the U.S. remodeling Aaron Rents showrooms and handling a wide variety of construction projects, so turning big ideas into real-world results is second nature to him.

Whether it’s a clean, hidden system or a wild one-off creation, Chris brings decades of hands-on experience, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for the craft to every project. When he’s not in the shop, you’ll likely find him mountain biking, camping, or chasing down the next great taco spot.

He is not only the owner but also an active presence on the sales floor. For four consecutive years, he has ranked among the Top 5 Sales Professionals.

In 2024, he was honored with the 'Sales Pro of the Year' award, recognizing his unwavering dedication and extensive industry knowledge.

Ron has been with Traffic Jams since 2008, bringing extensive expertise in 12-volt systems. Nominated for Sales Pro of the Year four times and consistently ranking in the Top 5 Sales Pros, he's a well-respected figure in the 12-volt industry.

As our best wheel and tire seller, Ron specializes in getting trucks lifted and looking great, making him an invaluable asset both in the auto sales department and on the sales floor.

With more than 35 years in the car audio and accessories world, Lee truly knows this industry inside and out. As a former shop owner, he understands what it takes to deliver quality work, meet customer expectations, and maintain transparency every step of the way.

Lee believes that clear communication and honest guidance are just as important as the install itself. His goal is simple — make sure every customer drives away confident in their investment and completely satisfied with the experience.

Rosie plays a crucial role at Traffic Jams Motorsports, handling most of our accounting, including payroll, with precision and care.

As the owner's wife, she brings a unique level of dedication and commitment to the business. Beyond her financial expertise, Rosie also manages our apparel department, ensuring our uniforms are always in top shape and overseeing all embroidery.

Her behind-the-scenes efforts are key to the smooth operation of the team, and her hard work keeps everything running efficiently.

Vanessa plays a vital role in the company, managing social media, marketing, and overseeing the back end of our computer POS systems.

She is also responsible for organizing events, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

In addition to her administrative and technical skills, Vanessa actively contributes to the sales floor, assisting customers with their vehicle needs and providing excellent service whenever they visit the store.
